Amplifier Comes Preloaded With All Settings Needed to Support EAW Loudspeakers

FRANKLIN, MA, JUNE 4, 2025Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW)® adds the UXA4807D to its successful installation amplifier line. With this addition, UXA installation amplifiers are perfectly matched with EAW’s Engineered Solutions Loudspeakers for fast, seamless system integration and reliable performance for years to come. The UXA4807D will debut at InfoComm 2025 (Booth 6343 / Demo Room W224G).

UXA installation amplifiers offer onboard processing that includes FIR and limiter settings called Greyboxes. Greyboxes come preloaded and can be assigned to each output from a pull-down menu using intuitive software. Ample user-adjustable EQ, limiter/compressor and delay settings are available to fine tune the installation.

“Through the creation of the UXA Installation Series and specifically the UXA4807D, we are making it easier and faster to specify and integrate EAW systems,” says TJ Smith, president of EAW. “We understand that today’s consultants and integrators do not have time to review mountains of specifications and download settings. EAW UXA installation amplifiers save time during specification, integration and commissioning to provide trustworthy and long-lasting results.”

Multiple input signal formats come standard – Dante®, four analog and SPDIF signals are available in the UXA4807D’s comprehensive input matrix mixer.

To eliminate tampering, there are no front panel controls. All amplifier control is accomplished using a web browser when connected to the amplifier’s integrated Wi-Fi access point or hardwired TCP/IP connection. For larger systems, multiple UXA amplifiers can be monitored and controlled with EAW’s award-winning Resolution 2 software.

The Power Factor Corrected (PFC) universal power supply is efficient and tolerant of mains disturbances. UXA amplifiers operate from mains voltages of 100-240 volts and 50 or 60 Hertz. ErP and EnergySTAR compliance mean operating costs are reduced. UXA amplifiers recover from a loss of mains power quickly, passing audio from the analog inputs within 10 seconds from application of power.

EAW Loudspeaker System and Subwoofers Elevate Sound Quality for Various Events

INDIA, May 21, 2025 Pink Noise Professionals, a leading pro audio distributor in India, recently helped arrange for the first Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW®) Anya ADAPTive sound system to be purchased and deployed in the country, marking a significant milestone in delivering innovative audio technology to the Indian market.

Durgesh Sound and Lighting Systems, an event management services company that rents equipment for various applications across India, was eager to upgrade its PA inventory and elevate clients’ audio experience. The company wanted the best available technology to enhance the audio quality of events and desired a solution that would offer ease of use.

The Anya system from EAW perfectly fit the bill, featuring technology not found in competing brands. Durgesh Sound and Lighting purchased 16 Anya units and 12 SBX218 Subwoofers, laying the groundwork for an audio system that promised exceptional sound quality for a wide range of live events. A second phase of this audio upgrade, including additional EAW products, is also in the pipeline.

“The customer has rented this EAW solution for various concerts and has expressed their satisfaction with the system,” said Vijay Sinha, director of sales and marketing at Pink Noise Professionals. “Pink Noise has witnessed firsthand how ADAPTive simplifies setup, enabling engineers to focus on delivering an unforgettable experience.”

ADAPTive technology has transformed the workflow for sound engineers, making installations and rigging consistent across different events, which is especially important for rental companies that work in extremely diverse environments. “With ADAPTive, only the programming needs adjustment, which takes approximately 15 minutes,” Sinha added. “The hard labor challenges have been eliminated, allowing engineers to manage the system more efficiently.”

EAW has redefined its presence in India with the help of Pink Noise through the installation and large-scale rental markets. “EAW’s commitment to making the live sound engineer’s job more manageable is unmatched,” Sinha explained. “Unlike other systems that require constant back and forth between the mixing desk and the stage, EAW’s solutions have streamlined the entire process.”

According to Gaurav Soni, Managing Director, Durgesh Sound & Lights, “We’ve been working with EAW systems for decades now, and honestly, we knew our profile needed something truly next level to really make an impact. ANYA is a game-changer in the live event industry. We are seriously impressed with its performance – it’s exactly the breakthrough we were looking for.”

Pink Noise Professionals operates across three key segments including professional audio, recording and music, and home Hi-Fi. The company equips the live rental market and system integration sectors with essential audio tools, including microphones, loudspeakers, amplifiers and processors. They also provide premium gear for recording studios and exclusive distribution for home audio products in India.

Pink Noise Professionals has represented EAW in India for nearly three years and has sourced the company’s products for various projects, including live productions, permanent installations, auditoriums and hospitality venues like restaurants and bars.

ADAPTive AC6 Sets a New Standard for Audio Excellence in Estonia

VILJANDI, ESTONIA, MARCH 25, 2025 – In a move to elevate the acoustic experience for its guests, the Estonian Traditional Music Center has partnered with Heliart OÜ, a leading provider of professional audio solutions, to install a state-of-the-art Eastern Acoustic Works’ (EAW®) AC6 ADAPTive sound system. This marks the first venue in Estonia to elevate its sound with EAW’s revolutionary ADAPTive technology.

As a hub for cultural and live performances, the Estonian Traditional Music Center needed a sound solution that could accommodate its diverse events, ranging from traditional folk festivals to international acts, all while maintaining a visually appealing environment for the audience.

Heliart OÜ stepped in with a groundbreaking solution—the AC6 ADAPTive Column Loudspeaker. With a sleek design and efficient vertical coverage, the system provides clear sightlines for balcony audience members and improves the overall aesthetic of the stage. “Positioned in a left and right configuration with two loudspeakers per side, the EAW system makes the stage look wider and more open, greatly benefiting the overall experience for the audience,” said Priit Kivimägi from Heliart OÜ.

ADAPTive technology allows for changes to sound coverage without having to physically adjust the speakers. “The system permits the Center to adjust the audio settings according to the performance type, whether on stage or interacting with the audience on the floor,” explained Kivimägi. The installation also features the EAW SBX Series Subwoofers to provide rich bass. “Together, these components deliver unparalleled audio clarity and consistency across all events,” adds Kivimägi.

With the installation complete, the Estonian Traditional Music Center is now equipped to provide a superb audio experience that meets the high standards of both traditional and contemporary performances. “The system allows for uniform coverage of the audience area, in regard to both the SPL and frequency response,” explains Kivimägi. “An additional benefit of AC6 is that it provides phase coherent spacious sound image due to its single acoustic source design. Guest engineers have said that the system is a significant upgrade, and they are also all fans of the SBX118 subs.”

Heliart OÜ has been an EAW distributor for years and continues to trust the brand’s products for various applications. “EAW has a versatile product line that fits our market,” says Kivimägi. “We can use AC6 for mobile events or permanent installations and the sound is incredible in addition to the feature package it offers.”

As the Estonian Traditional Music Center continues to host esteemed performances, Heliart OÜ remains committed to delivering innovative audio solutions, setting a new standard for sound quality in Estonia. Anyone can now experience the sound transformation at the venue and discover how EAW’s technology has elevated the space.

ADAPTive Loudspeakers and Subwoofers Enhance Performance Audio for Audience and Ease of Use for Students

WHITINSVILLE, MA, MARCH 11, 2025 Whitinsville Christian School has elevated its auditorium experience by partnering with Revelation, a local audio-visual event production service and technology integrator company, to install a cutting-edge Eastern Acoustic Works’ (EAW®) ADAPTive Series sound system. This upgrade enhances the school’s theatrical and musical performances, creating an incredible audio experience for students and audiences alike.

Whitinsville Christian School faced significant audio issues with its previous sound system. Excessive white noise and electronic malfunctions impeded the quality of performances. “The original system was not that old, but it had a lot of issues that needed addressing,” said Anthony D’Elia, president and chief steward at Revelation. “The school also did not want to install front fills below the stage because when the students were doing choirs, they would line up on the steps at the front of the stage and block the audio coming from the speakers.”

Revelation proposed the deployment of the EAW ADAPTive Series, featuring AC6 Column Loudspeakers and Otto Subwoofers. The gear was flown in stacks of two in a left, right and center arrangement above the stage. This innovative system allowed for precisely directed audio, ensuring sound reached the front rows without reaching the back wall of the auditorium, which lacked acoustic treatment.

The installation process included a thorough evaluation of the existing rig points by a structural engineer to ensure safety and stability. Revelation’s System Engineer and Head of Audio also conducted extensive tuning with measurement microphones, resulting in what D’Elia describes as “perfection” in sound quality.

Feedback from the Whitinsville Christian School community has been overwhelmingly positive. “Everything has been working exceptionally for almost a year now,” D’Elia remarked. “The adaptability of the AC6 Loudspeakers has allowed for effective sound distribution, creating a more engaging experience for students performing live. Being able to run the system in a cardioid pattern and reject all the low-end frequency on the stage has been very helpful.”

Byron Flagg of Whitinsville Christian School emphasized the reasons for choosing the EAW ADAPTive Series. “The frequency range, fidelity and onboard processing were superior at the price point,” he said. “The clean and minimalist aesthetic of the speakers makes them less visually intrusive in our theater applications. Also, the Otto Subwoofer and AC6 Column Arrays are perfectly suited for controlling energy distribution in our auditorium, which has been acoustically tuned with live orchestra and choir music in mind.”

In addition, Flagg noted the convenience of the onboard processing. “In a high school environment, most users are students or non-technical staff. Having critical system parameters locked inside the speakers ensures that the system remains properly tuned for as long as possible.”

The collaboration between Whitinsville Christian School and Revelation demonstrates a commitment to providing an exceptional educational and performance environment. The installation of the EAW ADAPTive Series sound system has set a new standard for audio excellence in the school’s auditorium, fostering creativity and enhancing the overall experience for everyone involved.

Complete details of the warranty can be found at www.eaw.com/warranty. A list of frequently asked questions and answers is below.

If you have an international warranty claim, contact your local distributor for service. All warranty claims outside the United States must go through an approved distributor. EAW does not provide direct warranty claim service outside the United States. EAW will work to support your local distributor to resolve the claim.

As we work through existing inventory, we expect some products to ship with old warranty information. This new warranty is immediate, retroactive, and global.

ADAPTive Loudspeakers Deliver Crystal Clear Sound for Symphony Concertgoers

LOUIS, MISSOURI, JANUARY 28, 2025 – The world-renowned St. Louis Symphony Orchestra stands as a cultural treasure, captivating listeners for decades with its annual outdoor concert on Art Hill in Forest Park. With thousands of attendees each year, the Symphony aims to provide every person with a memorable and immersive musical experience. However, achieving exceptional sound quality in such a large and uniquely shaped outdoor space has been a longstanding challenge. Audience members at the top of the hill often miss out on the clarity and fullness of the performance compared to those sitting closer to the stage.

Enter Switch, a creative agency and production house based in St. Louis that has been supporting the Symphony for nearly 20 years. They recognized the need for a solution that ensures reliable and clear audio for every concertgoer. “With current audiences approaching 20,000+ people and now spanning the full 180° seating area with a 60-foot rake and a radius of 550 feet, solid coverage at the top of the hill has traditionally been difficult until we upgraded to EAW,” explains Ann Slayton, director of production rentals at Switch.

Harnessing the power of Eastern Acoustic Works’ (EAW®) ADAPTive sound system, Switch collaborated with Ron Bolte, the Symphony’s live audio engineer and Chris Anderson, owner of Anderson Audio. Together, they implemented a fully ADAPTive system using Anna 3-way Full-range Array Modules, Otto Subwoofers and AC6 Column Speakers. This setup was designed to adjust seamlessly to the venue’s needs and the unique landscape of the hill. The full setup included 20 Anna, 10 per side, 6 Otto, 3 per side, and AC6 used as fill speakers.

“ADAPTive was the right product for this because we were trying to cover a vast, unusual area and provide even coverage,” explains Anderson. “The system deploys quickly, and we can fine-tune coverage using software later. We don’t have to do that when we put it up, and that’s great for an event like this. Also, it doesn’t take up a lot of space or dominate the environment.”

Bolte also expressed why he felt EAW was the perfect choice for the occasion. “My responsibility is to make sure every one of the 20,000 plus people who show up here gets the same experience,” he says. “The ADAPTive technology we have from EAW gives us that advantage. Everyone on the hill will get the same relative sound, whether you’re at the top or bottom.”

“The clarity of speech and fullness of melodies from anywhere on the hill was astounding! As I listened from the top, it felt like a personal monitor was right in front of my face,” adds Slayton. “The ability of the system to reproduce, with a natural quality, both the delicate frequencies of the violas and huge rumbles of the timpani at either 500+ feet or downstage center, was utterly amazing.”

The Symphony plans to use EAW’s system for future performances, recognizing its ability to elevate the crowd’s energy. They invite everyone to come and appreciate the unparalleled sound quality that now defines their outdoor concert. “The addition of ADAPTive to our annual event has helped increase the sophistication significantly over the last two years,” adds Slayton.

With the new audio system in place, audience members reported being amazed at the clarity of the performance, no matter their location on the hill. Fans could enjoy the resonances of various instruments, making the concert a shared journey for everyone. The St. Louis Symphony Board of Directors noted that the bar for live sound quality and coverage has been set, ensuring the production remains a highlight for years to come.

Thanks to the innovative audio solutions and strategic planning by EAW, Switch and Anderson Audio, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra has transformed its show into a consistently high-quality event for all, fostering a deeper connection between attendees and the music they cherish.
